Description:

"Soggy Paws", a CSY 44 Walkthrough cruiser, was launched as "Lassez Faire" in 1980 by CSY and kept in charter for 10 years. She was sold and renamed "Soggy Paws" and remained in the charter business in Florida until 2006 when she underwent a full refit prior to embarking on a global cruise. She was again sold and after refurbishment in Davao, Phillipines in 2016,"Soggy Paws" was sailed to Fremantle. The current owner purchased her in July 2018 and cruised from Fremantle to Darwin, East Timor, Lombok, Bali, Sumbawa, Komodo Islands, Sulawesi, Raja Ampat, Tual and back to Darwin. A new rig was fitted in 2018 but apart from routine maintenance, only minimal changes have been necessary since the 2016 refurbishment as "SoggyPaws" is so well equipped. She remains a solid, reliable, blue water cruiser with a comfortable and spacious interior. "Soggy Paws", has safely and comfortably carried her owners over 40,000 nautical miles through the Caribbean and across the Pacific to Southeast Asia & Australia. Her previous owners are well known as speakers and writers on boat systems and seamanship, and "Soggy Paws" reflects their knowledge and experience over 20 years of ownership. Their story and presentation makes for interesting reading and can be found on the following:
