Anki is a Baltic 42 DP, the legendary Doug Peterson designed 42ft sailing yacht built by Baltic Yachts, Finland in 1981 to 1985. Only around 30 of these boats were ever built, such is their exclusivity. She is of GRP construction and is purpose built as a luxury offshore cruiser/racer. She features a powerful rig, designed for speed and safety, soft vinyl headlinings, deep cushioning and rich timbers giving a feeling of luxury and elegance. From the lead fin keel with bulb to the double spreader aluminium mast the attention to detail and sheer enginering excellence is obvious. Although an older design she still demonstrates outstanding sailing performance, has a low racing handicap and spacious, comfortable accommodation and all at a fraction of the cost of a more modern vessel.
Anki has just had her aging timber decks completely removed, refaired, repainted and non slip applied. The rig was fully refurbished including new stainless steel wire and rigging screws. The anchor winch, hydraulics and running rigging were refurbished. Anki features a self contained PUR desalinator and 4000kva generator together with a host of luxury appointments. The hull has been recently antifouled, the prop and shaft treated and a non drip seal fitted.
