List Your Boat

Thank you for considering the team at Vicsail Western Australia to facilitate the sale of your boat. We assure you that we will do our utmost to look after your best interests.

The boats we sell are all different, as are the people who buy them. We therefore try to accommodate these differences by providing you and the purchaser with as much information as possible. To this end we supply a seller and purchaser information pack which contains valuable information and advice.

The procedure for selling a boat roughly runs the following way (not because we say so but because years of experience has taught us):

  1. Purchasers inspect the boat and decide they like it.
  2. They decide on a price and make a written offer to the owner which contains any special conditions (engine survey, rig survey, etc).
  3. We present this to you for consideration and you either accept the offer or we renegotiate with both parties through a counter offer process.
  4. On acceptance, the purchaser pays the deposit and we start the process of addressing the special conditions contained in the offer to purchase.
  5. We have found it essential to do the organisation of satisfying the special conditions ourselves as the logistics involved in coordinating owners, purchasers, surveyors, lifting facilities, brokers, etc. is considerable.
  6. On satisfaction of all special conditions and transfer of funds the settlement and handover of keys, documents, equipment and of course the boat occurs on or before settlement date.

What we specifically do to sell your boat is:

  • Offer boat cleaning and presentation service and advice.
  • Conduct personalised viewings including on weekends.
