Zafarse is an authentic Baltic 42, the legendary Doug Peterson designed 42ft sailing yacht built by Baltic Yachts, Finland in 1985. Only around 30 of these boats were ever built, such is their exclusivity. She is of GRP construction and is purpose built as a luxury offshore cruiser/racer. She features a powerful rig, designed for speed and safety, soft vinyl headlinings, deep cushioning and rich timbers giving a feeling of luxury and elegance. From the lead fin keel to the double spreader aluminium mast the attention to detail and sheer engineering excellence is obvious. Although an older design she still demonstrates outstanding sailing performance, has a low racing handicap and spacious, comfortable accommodation and all at a fraction of the cost of a more modern vessel. Double cockpit with aft steering station. The interior is finished in teak with soft white headliner. All berths and settees are covered with rich, quality fabrics. The cabin sole is also teak and was refinished in 2006. Forward of the main saloon is a queen sized v berth with separate hanging lockers and ensuite (currently decommissioned). The galley is to starboard behind the comfortable saloon seating with 2 single berths outboard on each side. Opposite the galley is the large nav station. Further aft to port is the roomy heads with vanity, toilet and hot/cold shower. Aft of the galley is the master stateroom featuring a queen sized island bed, with wrap around seating and 5 opening ports.
